One of the $5000 grants given December, 2015, was for TK kindergarten, to be spent throughout the district. In the past,TK teachers have been grabbing whatever they could find to give their students a well-rounded start on their education. Teachers had trouble sharing lessons because they all had different materials to draw from. When they received the grant, teachers were able to purchase materials for all the TK classrooms. Now they can all use the same materials, work on lesson plans together, share their knowledge and know that their little tykes will all have the same "readiness" when they go to kindergarten next year. A very worthwhile grant. As you can see from the pictures, the teachers are enjoying the opportunity to collaborate.
