The Escondido Education Foundation is governed by an unpaid board of Escondido residents. Nobody on this page draws a salary from your gift. They read the grant applications, sign the checks, and answer for how every donated dollar is spent.

What we do
Six things, every year.
This is the whole job, start to finish. It is unpaid, and it is the most direct route we know between a donation and a classroom.
- Meet monthly The board gathers every month to exchange ideas and make plans.
- Fundraise Through grant applications and two events a year: the Fall Fashion Show, and Fall in Love With Escondido Schools in February.
- Visit schools We go out to the schools to encourage educators to apply for a grant.
- Review the applications The board reads every application and decides which projects get funded.
- Grant Night The best evening of the year. We hand checks directly to educators so they can start their projects.
- Visit the projects We come back while the work is happening, and see what the money turned into.

There is room at this table.
The board recruits from the community it serves. If you care about Escondido students and can give a few hours a month, we want to hear from you. Finance, marketing, grant writing, and event experience are especially useful, and none of them are required.
