We do not track you.
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no cookies of ours. Here is exactly what we receive when you write to us or make a donation, and what happens to it.

The short version
This site does not track you. There are no analytics, no advertising networks, no tracking pixels, and no cookies set by us. We do not build a profile of visitors and we have nothing to sell to anybody, because we do not collect anything to sell.
What we collect, and only when you hand it over
The contact form
If you fill in the contact form we receive the name, the email address or phone number, and the message you typed, plus a note of which page you sent it from. That goes to the foundation's inbox. We keep it as long as we need to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us.
Donations and ticket sales
Payments are handled entirely by PayPal. Card numbers never touch this website and we never see them. PayPal tells us who paid, how much, and the email address on the account, which is what lets us thank you and send an acknowledgement for your taxes. What PayPal itself does with your information is covered by PayPal's own privacy policy.
Donations sent by check or bank transfer
If you mail a check or send money through your bank, we receive whatever your bank passes along, usually a name and the amount. We use it to record the gift and to write you an acknowledgement.
What the website itself stores on your device
One thing, and only if you use it. If you pick a language from the menu at the top of the page, your choice is kept in the browser's session storage so the pages you visit next stay in that language. Your browser discards it when you close the tab. There is no advertising identifier and no cookie of ours.
Other companies
Reading this site in English contacts nobody but our own web server. Two things reach out further, and only when you ask them to.
- Translation. Choosing a language other than English loads Google's website translation widget, which necessarily sends the page text to Google to translate it. Staying in English loads nothing from Google at all.
- Payments. Opening the donation or ticket buttons loads PayPal's checkout, which is subject to PayPal's terms and privacy policy.
Our web host keeps ordinary server logs, which typically record the address of the request, the page asked for, and the time. That is normal for any website and is used to keep the site running and secure.
Children
This site is written for adults who want to support Escondido schools. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and there is nothing here for a child to sign up to.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the foundation and we will do it. There is no automated process to go through because there is very little to hold.
California residents have specific rights under state privacy law. We do not sell or share personal information, and we never have.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is significant we will say so on the home page rather than quietly editing this page.
