Paint & Sip
Thank you to everyone who spent the evening painting with us at Salon Sultry. Together you raised $1,230 for innovative projects in Escondido Union School District classrooms.
Thank you
$1,230 raised for Escondido classrooms.
Guests painted the same sunset scene together, a step at a time, with wine, snacks, and desserts, and every one of them went home with a canvas of their own. This is the evening in under a minute.
Thank you to Salon Sultry for opening its doors, and to everyone who bought a ticket, picked up a brush, and spread the word.
The evening
How it went.
Nobody needed to have painted anything since grade school. Everything was set out, the scene was taught step by step, and the room was full.
Where the money goes
All proceeds go straight to Escondido classrooms.
Paint & Sip was run by volunteers and hosted by a local business, which kept costs down and meant what each guest paid did real work.
Foundation grants pay for the things a public school budget cannot always reach: classroom sets of books, instruments, coding hardware, garden beds, microscopes, and the field experiences students remember years later. An evening of painting and good company turns into a real project in a real classroom a few miles away.
Our host
Thank you to Salon Sultry.
Salon Sultry hosted the evening at its studio at 217 E Grand Ave, in the middle of downtown Escondido. Local businesses opening their doors like this is what keeps foundation events affordable, and it is why so much of every ticket reaches a classroom rather than a venue bill.
