Mrs. Doud’s students at Rincon Middle School successfully completed their Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle event at Conway teacher, Mrs. Banks, pool this last Friday. It is the culminating activity of the Advanced STEM program.
While donor, Mrs. Johnson, Paulette Donnellon, EUSD School Board member, and I were there, 2 teams successfully demonstrated the control of their vehicles! Other teams were eagerly awaiting their opportunity to participate in the tournament. Students discovered there are a lot of moving parts and many modifications were made before vehicles could be submerged (cutting Styrofoam and adding weights).
It was a fun afternoon for spectators and student participants!
